HAMMERSMITH HEAD

A Spring Head Race on the Tideway in London

Auriol Kensington Rowing Club hosts this head race in the spring each year. Raced between Chiswick and Hammersmith Bridges on the outgoing tide. The event is open to Eights, Quads and Fours in selected Open, Women's and Junior categories

LATEST UPDATE

The 2023 race will take place on Sunday 26th February at 9.30 am. Entries will open on BROE on 5th Jan and close once 300 fully completed and paid entries have been received or on 15th Feb. Whichever is earlier.

The race is run in early spring and conditions on the Tideway can be challenging. With 300 boats on the water it is essential that all crews are aware of the rules and where they need to be at any time to ensure a safe and enjoyable event
