Race the Thames - 22nd to 29th March 2021

We’ve teamed up with London Youth Rowing to support Race the Thames in the last week of March 2021. Within the overall race, crews will be able to enter under the Hammersmith Head banner for the shorter 72km distance (Race the Tidal Thames) and we can hopefully recreate a little bit of the Hammersmith atmosphere.

How Do We Enter?

Let's Get Racing

This novel format will get your crews focused and excited to train again.  72km in one day 9km per rower, on rowing machines, at your own locations.  Remember, it's the fastest collection of pieces by your team through the day, not one single effort! (If Covid rules are still restrictive, Race the Thames will include bikes and running to make it feasible - whatever happens we will race!).

Coaches or Group Leaders

  • Book your crews on This Link This buys your entry.

  • Now get your crews training for the end of March event.

  • Next we'll ask for more details on your team - this is where you let us know you're doing the Hammersmith Head section

  • Then we'll send the crew leader a link that they send on to each rower to sign up themselves. (this isn't a BROE event)

  • Just before the event we'll send each participant their link to submit their session data for the event.

  • Then keep track of your progress, and that of your opposition, on the LYR Arena - including the live leader board, and map, and broadcast of participants on our zoom channel.

  • Entries close 15th March.

Your entry fee will go entirely to London Youth Rowing and we are delighted to be able to support the work of this incredible local charity.
